Udyam Registration

The Udyam site was launched on July 1, 2020, with the goal of improving Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise (MSMEs) registrations. In order for MSMEs to benefit from all of the government’s offerings, they need to finish their registration, also known as Udyam registration, using this official platform.

Qualifications for Udyam Registration: Businesses that meet the following requirements can register:

  • Micro Enterprises: ₹1 crore or less is invested in machinery, plant, or equipment; ₹5 crore or less is the turnover.
  • Small Businesses: Have a revenue under ₹50 crore and an investment below ₹10 crore.
  • Medium-Sized Businesses: ₹50 crore is the maximum investment allowed, and ₹250 crore is the maximum turnover.

Documents Needed for Udyam Registration
In order to register with Udyam, entrepreneurs must provide the following documentation:

  • Adhaar Number 
  • Number of PAN Card/Aadhaar
  • GST Identification Number

In the case of proprietorship enterprises, the proprietor must possess the Aadhaar number. It ought to be the managing partner’s in partnership businesses. In Hindu Undivided Families (HUF), the Karta should be the owner of the Aadhaar number. The Aadhaar number of the authorized signatory is necessary for Limited Liability Partnerships (LLPs), corporations, cooperative organizations, and trusts.

In order for MSMEs to receive government assistance and benefits, they must first register through the Udyam portal. This will ultimately promote the sector’s sustainability and expansion.
