Digital Signature Certificate (DSC)

Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) is a secure electronic instrument, which is affixed on documents by authorized persons. It ensures the security and validity of electronic documents. DSC is mandatory on all documents on the portal of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA). Online processes, such as registration of a company or LLP and income tax e-filing, are authenticated through DSC.

The Controller of Certifying Authorities (CCA) has designated various Certifying Authorities (CAs) to issue Digital Signature Certificates. Of these, CAs are licensed to issue Class 3 DSC.
